About Us

Written by Dennis Crookshanks

I'm an old school roofer. I've been in the business now for over 35 years and a 2nd generation roofer. I've installed most types of roofing on most types of roofs. Have not yet installed thatch, but would like to try, and never got a chance to install coal tar pitch. I'm thankful for the latter.
I learned the basics from my father and older brothers. I learned the rest from books and research but I learned the most when removing old roofing installations that had outlasted the roofing material.

My philosophy is that, every roof I install will someday be seen by another roofer. Hopefully later than sooner.
When that happens, I want that roofer to say " Hey, this old guy knew what he was doing."

An old house roofer.Me, up on a roof restoring a leaded copper roof finial.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you're working with?
I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Word press/B2evoluti on and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most
blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Greetings! Very useful advice in this particular post!
It's the little changes that produce the largest changes.
Thanks a lot for sharing!

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and very broad for me. I'm looking
forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of
it!

Good day! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are
you using for this website? I'm getting fed up of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for
another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me
in the direction of a good platform.

Hi. I see that you don't update your page too often. I
know that writing posts is time consuming and boring.
But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to create new posts using existing content
(from article directories or other websites from your niche)?
And it does it very well. The new posts are high quality
and pass the copyscape test. Search in google
and try: miftolo's tools

Hello would you mind letting me know which web host you're working with?
I've loaded your blog in 3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most.
Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a fair price?
Many thanks, I appreciate it!

Excellent blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I'm hoping to start my own blog soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like Wordpress
or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm totally confused ..
Any recommendations ? Thanks!

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem
to be running off the screen in Safari. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet
browser compatibility but I figured I'd post to let you know.
The layout look great though! Hope you get the
issue resolved soon. Kudos
